Kirkham.IT/IronTech Security to Require Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination for Employees and New Hires
Fort Smith, Ark. – Effective immediately, Kirkham, Inc., which operates IronTech Security and Kirkham IT, will require all employees and new hires to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Kirkham also announced that if federal health authorities recommend a COVID-19 vaccine booster in the future, workers will need to submit proof showing that they received the booster dose. Based in Fort Smith, Ark., specializes in cybersecurity and IT services.
Known as a forward-thinking company, Kirkham joins the nearly two-thirds of U.S. employers planning to require employers to produce proof of vaccination, according to a survey from Arizona State University with support from the Rockefeller Foundation. The company will now list its vaccine requirements in its job ads and will open job interviews by asking if a prospective employee has received the COVID-19 vaccination. Exemptions will be available for religious or health reasons and must be formally requested, documented and approved.
“We see this as a must-do,” says Kirkham CEO and founder, Tom Kirkham. “The world is on the brink of another outbreak, and the longer we keep spreading it around, the less safe we all are. And, more variants will evolve, which could potentially be worse than the 2020 pandemic.”
